Digitalogic workshops and youth festival screenings
Local teachers and students join workshops
Facilitated by CuriousWorks
Liverpool City Council has partnered with CuriousWorks to facilitate Digitalogic Workshops giving local school students the opportunity to develop digital media skills and produce short films.
This program has been designed to engage students, first and foremost, in the creation of artworks using digital and new media forms. Teachers and students have been working collaboratively with CuriousWorks, a digital media arts educational organisation, to create cohesive and innovative works of art.
The schools currently involved in the project include Liverpool Girls High School,
Lurnea High School and Miller Technology High. The program has continued to increase in popularity with both Ashcroft High School and James Busby High School also commencing the Digitaliogic workshops this month (September).
Digital works will be selected from both students and teachers at the end of the Digitalogic workshops and their works will be screened at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre. Screening dates to be confirmed at a later date.
If you want your students to be involved in Digitalogic project, contact Ivana Pepic, Education and Public Programs Manager on 9824 1121 or pepic@casulapowerhouse.com
